How to Arrange a Children's Party? | Children's Entertainment Planning
If you're ready to plan your children's birthday party, this is definitely a blog you need to check out. We'll break down everything you need to know about organising a children's party. This includes planning the date of the party, guest list, location and much more!
Planning The Date & Time!
The first and utmost step you need to undertake is deciding when the party will take place. While it would be great to have the party date be the same one as your children's birthday, most parties are arranged on weekends. A lot of parents are busy throughout the week with work and probably won't have the energy to take their children to a party during the evening. Weekends are the best days to go for.
As far as times go, our best suggestions are to go from 11am to 1pm, 3pm till 5pm or 4pm - 6pm. Parents are more likely to attend those times and there won't be any food conflicts either. The time of the year is also dependent as well. If you're looking at securing a garden party outside during the Autumn season, chances are no one wants to be outside during the evening when it gets dark so soon.
Plan The Guest List Out!
At the time of this blog we are still within lockdown and must adhere to the Government Guidelines. As of now the most popular option everyone is going for is a garden party. It's the best way for everyone to celebrate in person without creating unnecessary risks. In the UK you may have up to 30 people in attendance. This applies to all adults, entertainment and children. If you reside in Wales, the rules are slightly different there. The 30 person limitation only applies to people aged 11 and over. Anyone under that age is exempt.
That's why it's important to plan your guest list out as soon as possible and confirm who will be attending. The last thing you want to happen is have one too many people show up and breach any of the Government Guidelines in place. Use social media to create a party event that everyone can see and confirm everything.
Decide Where The Party Will Be!
There are plenty of options out there to host your children's party. This includes your own home & garden, hiring out a venue or even arranging a virtual party for everyone to attend online. Have a think about where you want the party to be. The amount of space you think you will need will determine what's the best option. Likewise, if you have guests who live quite far from your home, you might be considering hiring out a venue that's within reasonable distance for everyone. The good news with venues is a lot of them have outdoor space as well to allow garden parties. The sooner you decide on where to host your party, the more likely it will be available as an option.
